
Middle School Admissions – NYC PS
Overview
New York City’s Middle School Admissions process is designed to help families find schools that best match their child’s academic needs and interests. Students who are currently in 5th grade (and NYC residents) are eligible to apply to NYC public middle schools for entry in 6th grade.
Families can apply to up to 12 middle school programs using the NYC DOE’s MySchools system. Offers are made based on each school’s admissions method and priorities.
