School Begins @ 8:20 AM

• Breakfast is served every morning at 7:50am in the cafeteria
• Students can enter via the backyard on Brinsmade Ave; no students will be able to come into the building via the front entrance (only late students)

School Dismisses @ 2:40 PM

• Students exit via the backyard on Brinsmade Ave - no students leave via the front entrance
• Students dismiss on their own - Make a plan for dismissal
• Bus students go to the auditorium - Busing for 6th grade only (busing takes weeks to be setup)
• Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club go to the cafeteria - must be accepted to the program.

Lunch

• 10:59am - Grade 6
• 11:35am - Grade 7
• 12:21pm - Grade 8
• Recess each lunch period

Absences

If you know you are going to be absent (due to illness), call the main office (718) 829-6372. When the student is absent, the parent must provide a note explaining the absence. Parents should leave their children in school all day. Appointments should be scheduled outside school hours and on school holidays, whenever possible. If a child needs to be dismissed early, he/she should bring a note to school stating the time and reason. Parents must sign the child out in the school office.
